A Fair Day

A few of us from the NYC Fair Trade Coalition scored tickets to a fashion show with an eco friendly and Fair Trade twist.  Fairhills Wines organic and Fair Trade certified wine from South Africa, Argentina and Chile were also there to support this fair trade fashion event in association with Fashion Week.

My Fair Roses located on 3rd Ave & 69th street opened their doors today and the NYC Fair Trade Coalition came out to support!  NYCFTC also held a short meeting in the sweet smelling shop covering the events we will be involved in.   October is World Fair Trade month so stay tuned for a listing of events! We also discussed our connection and support with fair trade businesses.  We plan to build memberships and partnerships with organizations and businesses geared toward Fair Trade to increase awarness of fair trade: what it means and where to buy.
